“Behind the Mask”
Acrylic on Canvas
40x50 cm
This time of artwork I position myself in the middle so that people can see the background that represents the theme “clown”. Clown’s job is to entertain people and is used to fake their emotion and expression to make people happy. What I’m aiming for is that sometimes people act like a clown, they cover their real emotion by doing another expression to look good around people. For example, I look happy, but deep inside I feel sad and overwhelmed.

“Seeking a Place to Fit in”
Mix Media Painting
60x80 cm
This artwork explores identity and belonging. Fitting often means changing for acceptance, causing confusion and hurt. Instead of seeking validation, we should find spaces where we can represent personal growth and evolving identity through shedding skin. A colorful background reflects different experiences. This artwork invites viewers to reflect on their journey of self-discovery in a diverse society.
“Guess My Next Emotion”
Mix Media
45x60cm
This artwork explores many sides of who we are. This shows the many faces within myself. I would like to invite people to undergo my personal emotions to showcase that we wake up everyday and we pick up our own emotion intentionally or people drive those emotions for us. I share the layers of my inner world through this artwork to picture my raw, honest emotion. I do not consider a particular emotion as strength or weakness because every event requires a different emotion to connect us with other human beings.
